I currently work as a Talent Management Coordinator for Allegis Global Solutions where I’ve worked to improve processes, build better systems, and help my team grow. Before joining AGS in November of 2015, I worked as an HR Specialist–Recruiter, serving as the entire recruiting department for a credit union. There, I helped maneuver an equal-partnership merger, the first of its kind in credit unions. I used the opportunity to review and renovate practices while staffing a new and improved organization. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Human Services and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Studies with a minor in Sociology, all completed at Appalachian State University. I use my background in psychology to help me understand the world and my background in dance to see the creative perspective. I recently completed a Master of Arts in Industrial Organizational Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a direction I found through great mentorship and a well-timed introduction to engagement surveys. I believe my greatest strengths lie in the world of talent development, where I can bring together my love of data with my passion for helping others live fulfilled lives. I hope to help shape the ever-changing and growing world of talent. When I’m not at school or at work, I enjoy travel, eating great food, and coming up with clever (and not- so-clever) puns.

I lead change following the Kotter Eight Step change model and have guided a virtual team through various changes in leadership and structure, keeping in mind to manage the emotional impacts of change, embrace change and help guide an outlook that looks for ways to perform with uncertainty and ambiguity. My stability and calm is my strength as I have been a resource for teams in transition.
I work with virtual teams, developing trusting relationships to enable good work to get done, bringing new and engaging trainings and games to get everyone on the same page while fostering an environment that thrives when we all work together. I have helped my own team and coached others on how to deepen relationships and build trust.
I am proficient in R and Excel for data analysis in the HR space. I have used analysis on projects around organizational silence, justice, voice, performance, turnover, and more. I am always looking for the best sources of data to tackle the challenges we face.
I guide and advise employees with regards to goal planning and career mapping. I designed and delivered enterprise-wide training on individual development planning and the use of the development system. I provide one-on- one support for new employees building development plans. I have also organized and developed both in-person and online training programs.
I shaped and advised on a workforce planning project for shared services alignment implementation. I managed and coordinated volunteers to meet organizational goals. I have been key in aligning process creation with organizational goals and also garnering support and buy-in from key stakeholders.
I actively seek process improvement, whether that is creating and maintaining process documentation, developing and enhancing a quality control audit for offer processing, organizing and delivering a new hire training program, or generally generating new ideas for optimizing and streamlining processes – this is one of my core values.
I strive to be a leader in every group. I take note of the situation and dynamic and know when to step back and when to push forward. I pride myself on my ability to know when to ‘go’ and make things happen. I believe that leadership is about pulling the next great leader up behind you.
I believe adaptability is all about being flexible, but also prepared. I am able to shift priorities and meet the needs of my teams and clients. I like to face change as an opportunity, and see what new thing I can learn or teach in the new situation.
University of North Carolina at Charlotte
I have found my passions in data and development, having specifically studied the impacts of diversity and inclusion, organizational silence and voice, corporate social responsibility, and job satisfaction. Working toward this degree has opened a whole new world for me and sparked many new avenues for my own discovery.
Appalachian State University
I focused my undergraduate work around humanistic and social psychology, delving into human growth and development, the psychology of learning, and integrating the worlds of the social and personal.
Appalachian State University
I used my time studying dance as an opportunity to take a new perspective. As both a dancer and a choreographer, I focused on how humans use movement to connect with the world and with each other. Influenced by my minor in sociology, much of my work focused on social justice. My degree culminated in a capstone performance of which I am very proud.
